Services CVC3 Provides
Grants Grants for Online Course DevelopmentThe CVC Southern California Regional Center has supported development of approximately 87 model online courses through small grants to faculty and colleges within the region. Recently CVC3 awarded 26 individuals from 15 different colleges within the region with Model Online Course Grants for 2002-2003. Mentors for each College/District
QuizServer for Online QuizzesQuizServer, an easy-to-use quiz development and delivery program is available on the CVC3 server free of charge to colleges within our region. This package provides a simple way to include quizzes for online classes that are not being delivered through a course management system such as Blackboard, Prometheus, or WebCT. Faculty members can quickly and easily create self-scoring multiple-choice, true-false, or fill-in-the-blank quizzes and test. See an example or request an account by contacting us at: CVC3@cvc.edu. Licensing Announcement WebBoard for Online DiscussionsCVC3 is hosting WebBoard, a multifaceted communication tool that supports asynchronous bulletin-board style discussions with options that include e-mail notification of new postings or participation via a mailing list. Real-time chat rooms can be enabled for any "conference" and are great for conducting online officer hours and mid-term or final review sessions or for providing a convenient way for students to plan and prepare group projects.
